Party Time Tuesdays - Challenge #1 Anything Goes

This birthday card is for the first challenge at Party Time Tuesdays. The fish digistamp is from Create with TLC. The wordart clear acrylic stamp is by Inkadinkado.

Fishy Cards

I spent the afternoon making cards for fun and challenges. A delightful way to spend a holiday afternoon after a morning watching Peanut playing in a fountain.

This card is made using Create with TLC's "Fish Out of Water" mini kit - I love the cute fish and the great plaid paper. I colored the fish with colored pencils and finished it with glitter glue. It's hard to tell from the picture, but the fish is raised off the card for a 3D effect.

I used the sketch from Truly Scrumptious Challenges this week.

Cupcake Craft Challenge - Summer Delights

I think this is my fourth post for the day as I get caught up on challenges this weekend : ) This card is for the Cupcake Craft Challenge Summer Delights. I used the Short Shorts stamp from Stitchy Bear Stamps that I used for the Stampin with the Dragon challenge (below), but I put her outside in a park rather than by the beach.

Stampin' With the Dragon Challenge #2 - Here Comes Summer

The challenge this week at Stampin' with the Dragon is "Here Comes Summer." I used some summer stickers from my stash to create a beach theme for this cute girl.

The stamp is Short Shorts by Stitchy Bear Stamps, who is also sponsoring the challenge this week (the prize is three fun summer stamps).

I Did It Creations Challenge - Favorite Embellishment

I really loved the beautiful fairy image that Glitterbabe shared on the I Did It Creations challenge blog. The challenge this week was using your favorite embellishment. I'm new to making cards, so my favorite embellishment is things that are easy. I found these cute stick-on gems in the dollar bin at Michael's today - it doesn't get much easier than that. I colored the image with my new 50 pack of colored pencils.

Wonderful Women Minikit Freebie

The challenge this month at RakScraps was Romantic Moms. I loved the colors. I've been working on my own drawings and came up with these two women - a 1920s flapper and a 1960s mod inspired by Funky Things to Draw. So, I changed the theme a little bit to celebrate women.

The two women, the evening gown, and the hand drawn rose will be available as free digistamps over the next few days. Follow my blog to make sure you get all the freebies!

If you use the kit in your layouts, I'd love to see it!

Happy Birthday Grandpa Card

This is the first card that I've made with mixed media - digistamps with paper, ribbons, and flowers. My dad's birthday is coming up this summer and I was inspired by several challenges this week to put this together. The inside says "Happy Birthday, Grandpa!"

I've entered this card in the following challenges:
C.R.A.F.T. Challenge - Blue and Green (#52)
I Love Digi Challenge - For My Dad (#8)
Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge - Celebrate Babies (#33)

The stamp is "Dancing with Grandpa" by Mo's Digital Pencil. Since I'd stopped paper crafting a while ago, the rest of the supplies came out of my old stash long buried in the basement.

I'm still working on how to take good pictures of the cards, so I feel like it's a little lost in translation.

One Stitch at a Time Blog Challenge - Furry Friends

This week the challenge at One Stitch at a Time is Furry Friends. My sister is celebrating her birthday this weekend and so I used the challenge to make her a birthday card.

This is my first time working on a hybrid card project, so I printed out a few versions to color. The first one is the card for my sister. The second one is Peanut's card for her aunty. The other two are different versions.

The inside reads: "Hope your birthday is doggone good!"

Stratford MiniKit

I have a new minikit - Stratford (personal use). It's a strange kit. I ended up with more papers than elements, but that's how it is.
Here's a layout I made using the kit.

If you dowload, I'd love it if you leave a comment. If you use the kit in a layout, I'd love to see it.

Tomorrow I'll be releasing my first commercial use file - a texture I used in creating this kit. If you want to make sure you get it, please consider following the blog.

Bunny DigiStamp

Hello all! I have created my first digistamp. I'm working on a new kit - Stratford - and I needed a bunny. Since I liked it, I thought you might like it as well. The digistamp download includes the bunny outline (not the colored image) in two formats (png and jpg). If you want the colored image, stay tuned for my next kit!

One Stitch at a Time Blog Challenge - Going Dotty

I had a lot of fun with the Going Dotty Challenge on One Stitch at a Time. I love this little puppy stamp from Stitchy Stamps. I had a lot of fun coloring it using Photoshop Elements. I thought this would be a fun card for a friend with nice bright colors.

True Colors Challenge

This is my entry for the "True Colors" Challenge at Scrap it With a Song. I was inspired by the lines:
I see your true colors shining through.
I see your true colors and that's why I love you.

They reminded me of my mom and daughter doing "artwork" together last week. Grandma left today and Peanut is very sad.

Paper and elements from Work of Art by Scrappy Bug.

Paparazzi Challenge

It's a new week and time for a new challenge at Scrap It With a Song. I chose a line out of the song "Need that picture of you" that reminded me of a photo of my daughter from a few weeks ago. Her dad kept telling me how cute it was when she put her head through the wooden frame to hold up a tree. I have to agree and now we've captured it on [digital] film.

The paper, elements, and alphabet come from Hoppy Days by Garden Girl Designs.

I had fun with the challenge. I hope you like it!

One Stitch at a Time Blog Challenge

I made my entry in time this time! Challenge #11 is Children. I've used the "Jiggy" stamp from Stamping Dragon Designs. I'm going to use this as a birthday card for my nephew. The paper is from my Pat-a-cake Kit and the Happy Birthday I wrote myself using Photoshop Elements.

I hope you like it!

Two DigiCards

I created two digicards using my Sunshine MiniKit. The first uses elements and papers from the kit as well as a digistamp from Stitchy Bear. This would have been my entry for the One Stitch at a Time Challenge #10 Flowers, if I'd made it in time...

The second card uses only elements from the kit and you can download it here. It should be sized to print on Avery Cards, if you wish.

Download here

Hope you enjoy! Please leave a comment.

Sunshine MiniKit

I found that I had a lot of yellow flower pictures, and we were enjoying such lovely weather last week that I was inspired to do a Sunshine Kit. I hope you like it! If you download, please leave a comment. Thanks! Jennifer
